So VT Petrol-Heads, what type of car modifications do you like.
I quite like tuned muscle cars, particularly large supercharger bonnet intakes, sidepipe exhausts, loud engines and the power
Lowriders with hydraulic suspension, leather seats and stuff like that
and finally, the shakotan car scene (an extreme type of classic JDM modifying with enormous and tall exhausts, engine swaps, very low suspension, solid drag spoilers and exposed radiators)
So, what do you guys like. I want to know what unusual and common modifications you are interested in. Absolutely anything, and name your favorite parts of those particular modification groups.

I don't know a whole ton on modding, nor do I have much money to do so, but things that I really dislike are extremely lowered cars (like seriously, how do you drive that thing? And I thought my car was low...) tons of chrome (especially big-ass wheels), big useless spoilers, fake vents, and fake hood scoops.
For the exterior I like small, tasteful mods that aren't overdone... as for what's inside the car, I'm really clueless when it comes to aftermarket performance stuff, engines mods/swaps, and stuff like that...

The only mods I would do to my dad's truck is to lift it slightly and to add in Nerf bars, change the interior lights to some colored LEDs, and maybe upgrade the audio system.
I usually like stock cars though.

My type r fn2 is pretty much standard, I'm going for a fast road setup, an induction kit and new exhaust system though, then maybe when I have £4000 to throw away I'll put a supercharger on it. I like the sleeper thing fast but doesn't look it.
My MR2 was(unfortunately had to sell her) low, really fucking loud and just a bit nuts!
I think mods are a really personal thing some stuff people do to their cars and I hate it but other people probably hate things I do to my cars.

I'm gettin a lift kit and some 42's under a '77 Chevy custom deluxe pickup with a B10 flow master sound and big block V8 complete with auxiliary fuel tank. And it has interior carpeting, 40/20/40 bucket seats, 8 ball locks, and Dixie horns.

For me it is.. a twincharged flat 8 engine swap, straight piped car, a nice little bodykit, no spoiler, matte black 5 spoke rims, stripped interior.

Engine and drivetrain-wise, I'm not a fan of big mods, a performance air filter and ECU tuning do for me.
Exterior wise, metallic paint, some black details like a small bumper lip, as well as lightly tinted windows and a bright orange paintjob do

I would probably get a bunch of red LEDs. Then I would add a monster sized spoiler.

As far as car modifications go, I'm not big on really flashy parts that are only cosmetic. if you drive a 15 year old Honda Civic with a cheap plastic wing and body kit (serves no purpose because FWD) and an annoying fart cannon exhaust, I'm gonna laugh at you and think you're a joke.
So yeah, I like more subtle things. If you have a 15 year old Civic with almost all original cosmetic parts, and some serious speed, then you've got my respect.

That small dick car is nothing compared to this:

I hate riced out cars or people to try to go all "JDM" and stuff. I think it almost never comes out right. Lightly modified suburas will do it for me though.
Pickup trucks - a lift, some 35s, nice rims and dual exhausts will look good.
I usually just like aesthetic mods to make a car look more "clean" and power mods are fine as long as there aren't any huge body kits or wings installed.

Black rims preferably from adv1wheels. Thats a brilliant start to modification. Im not much into crazy body (cars looking like an old Batmobile.) No!!
But Im into modified or enhanced sounds. So a great exhaust system too...
I think thats it for me.
