What does boy smell like?

So I was reading Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series (no I'm not gay...I think) and throughout the book she frequently mentions something smells like boy. So my question to you VT'ers (specially the women) is-WTF does 'boy' smell like? Is that even a thing? I'm just rlly curious about this whole thing so all answers= appreciated :)

I feel like some boys do have this weird, almost ammonia-like smell at the start of puberty. Ick. I feel like some girls are probably capable of it too, depending on what it actually is, but I've never noticed it in anyone older than like, 13.

My boyfriend doesn't have the 'smell', if he's stinky, he just smells like sweat. :P

You need to keep clean to achieve such a scent...so difficult in most cases.

Right , it depends on they're hygiene and they're surroundings. Different people have different smells :) So "boy" doesn't always have to smell bad.

My cousin has a special smell. Don't know how to describe it, other than it's nice (maybe "musky"?). it's always brought comfort to me when he holds me, especially during an panic attack or meltdown.

Where I live (on a farm, with hogs), all the guys smell bad. And I mean jump in the pond because you ain't goin in the house like that, bad.

Irish Spring is a brand of soap/shower gel-I think has a nice fresh smell. I use Old Spice after shave and deodorant because it does not have a strong smell and it does not irritate my skin. Stetson Black has a woody leather smell, which I like and so do the ladies I am with. I've never tried Axe.

I think my sense of smell is greater because of my autism. Most of us have heightened senses. I tend to recognize people who are close to to me by their smell and associate them with it. Like I said my cousin has the best smell of anyone I know. I like to bury my nose in his pillow and smell his scent. I like my friend's smell too. Like musky mixed with bubble gum or something like that.

Females always smell strongly of perfume and hairspray and make up to me.

I either have a natural man smell going starting about an hour after I shower. If I'm sweaty than I smell like 2 lbs of sweat, which is odd because a girl once told me I smelled nice as I stood there dripping like a faucet.
