What does a period feel like? Maybe the closest thing a boy can get is a wet dream since girls can't get them? But what's it like to get one?

Girls can get wet dreams, they're just different.

Periods are like...Oozing flesh and liquid out the bottom of your body. It's messy, and it feels awkward and uncomfortable if you're wearing a pad. Tampons aren't bad, but sometimes it's easy to forget that you need to change 'em.

It's also like getting kicked in the crotch REALLY HARD and getting to feel that for a few hours to a few days sometimes. Also getting kicked in the lower part of your stomach, or getting a really bad stabbing pain there at times. (Cramps)

It's also easy to get emotional for some of us, and sometimes our breasts hurt. I have the tendency to sleep a lot and I crave EVERYTHING.

They're awful.

I have no earthly idea considering I have a complete lack of female parts, however, when my sister gets her's, she ends up crying, alot. And so my guess: painful. Very, incredibly painful.

It depends on the girl , how long it has been since they're last period. The longer they don't have it , the longer it lasts and the more it hurts. I've had to use pads before ( Don't ask ) so I know what it feels like , Its a weird feeling. They get moody , they're craving food ( like salt and or chocolate or whatever they like ) they get bloated , cramps and alot more. My cousin wishes she were a boy so she wouldn't have to go through this till shes like 40.

Why are boys answering this?

Anyway, it depends on the girl. I get cramps, which is sharp pain in my abdomen that can also sometimes cause nausea. The actual blood feels like involuntary peeing (when wearing a pad or nothing at all), except without the feeling of having to pee. Sometimes, if I'm standing for too long, it feels like this awful pressure that I can't get rid of unless I sit down. Not to mention moodiness; it just feels like everything I feel is intensified, and it changes quickly, at the slightest provocation.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Apparently it wasn't clear to them that I have a uterus, and they're trying to follow my lead? I feel like I'm to blame for this one, but er

The "involuntary peeing" sensation is godawful, and makes me want to stay inside and far away from anyone.

I don't think you're to blame at all! Just because someone else "broke a rule", even though you didn't, doesn't mean you (and I don't mean you specifically here either; I mean generally) should too :P I don't understand why, if you do not menstruate, why you'd try to answer a thread asking about what it feels like to menstruate.

It's the most disgusting feeling ever. It's even more terrifying when you realize oh fuck, is that my period?

That's true. Just because something goes under the radar, it doesn't make it right. :P

Ugh, exactly.

For some reason when I'm on my period I sweat more around my vulva? So sometimes it feels like my tampon's leaking when it's not. I hate it.
Stomach and back hurt. A lot.
Sometimes food sounds amazing and you will want to eat everything in sight. Sometimes it sounds disgusting and the very thought of food makes you feel more sick than you probably already do.
And on top of all of that, your hormones are doing weird things so your emotions are all over the place. One minute it feels like the world is great and everything is amazing and nothing can ever go wrong and then the next it's like you want to scream and violently murder everyone and then you just want to curl up in a ball and cry.
And of course there's blood pouring out of your genitals.

Yeah and it's not healthy to leave a tampon in or a pad on for a period of time due to the decaying uteral lining and festering blood... I'm a guy who's very well versed in human anatomy and biology...

Yes, some or most of the time during a females menstrual cycle the woman gets mild to severe cramping in the stomach and pelvic area.

Well, actually, they can give you toxic shock syndrome if they're in for too long, and that can kill you.

And if your Mom was an early Gen X-er or a Baby Boomer, you were probably told horror stories about TSS. :P

I heard it feels like being kicked and stabbed in the stomach for a week. I don't know personally. But my sympathy goes out to all girls for having to go through that.
