View Full Version : Too nervous to do anything.

So, I've been in a relationship with a girl for about 5 months now; and much to my disappointment, we have not kissed yet, which is something that I would very much like to do.

However, the problem is that whenever it comes to anything romantic, I just get nervous and avert from doing it. (I do not run off or anything, it just does not happen)

It's getting quite ridiculous really, in the months we've been together nothing has really happened. We've hugged like a small handful of times, and I must have said something from the heart once, if ever. As much as I would like to tell her how absolutely fantastic she is, and lean in the kiss her, I've just not got it in me.

I know that it will get easier after the first time, I've just not got the courage to initiate.

So then, wonderful people of the internet, any advice for me on how to beat the nerves and just do it?

Maybe because it's your first relationship, it's normal that you feel nervous about physical contact with your girlfriend. I'd say she probably feels as nervous as you, so I guess the secret is to take it slowly and progressively. Start with some hugs, grab her hand, compliment her when you see her, you know, that kind of things, and then start to kiss her on the cheek if she feels upset or worried for some reason, for instance. In the meanwhile, see if she correspond to your actions or not, and if you think you're taking it too quick, slow down a bit, or wait until she does the same things to you.

I would have the same feelings as you if I had a gf but I only have a crush and I'm too shy to tell her I liked her

Sometimes you just have to go for it man! Don't think just do it and I'm sure that'll work
