how do you get over love?

Okay so i just finished watching a movie about how to friends that fell in love that were separated because of life and this made me cry. Not just a little but allot. It reminded me about an old friend that i fell in love with-she fell for me to- and got separated because we just moved away from each other. I really don't know how to get over her because we were friends since junior high and we just moved away from each other in the 9th grade. And now every relationship or friendship just doesn't feel real. The people i met this year talked to me but disappeared once summer started, most of them barely talk to me to and me the girl could talk for hours. How do i get over this feeling? What should i do?

I wish I had an answer for you, but I'm going through the exact same thing. Although we still sometimes see each other, but it's rarely, and we're not as close as we used to be.

And sometimes, it takes meeting someone who clicks with you even better. Falling in love more than you did last time to make you realize that your old love isn't important anymore. Sounds kinda sad, but it sorta works.

Sadly you never get past your love, Its been 3 years since I last saw mine ( I was 12 , he was 15 ) but he didn't know it either so that makes it even worse for me. But with time , it gets better.
