Head start in Psychology?

Hello all, I'm going to be a senior in high school next year. I thought it would be cool to get a head start in what I want to major in university (psychology). I plan on doing a crap load of research, and educating myself on the subject.

Anyway, I have a question and a comment.

Is it legal in Canada to conduct your own public survey? for example, if I wanted to survey everyone in my school and ask which animal they preferred either cats or dogs, would I need like, some kind of permission to do so at all? (lame example, but you get what I mean)

Also, if anyone else is interested in psychology and has links and stuff with Info on it (I already have a book, and I think another 3 web sources to study from) feel free to post them in the links!

Not sure about the legal thing ( I am in Scotland) but sure you can ask the school. Or check out the city / or other authorities.

Yeah I'll probably just end up asking the Admin at school.

I was originally going to go for my PhD but because in Canada it could take up to 12 years to get, it seems too long. I have also come to the conclusion that if your wanting a PhD, its to do research and/or be a professor, Which as of right now, I just want to work for a health agency or a hospital, than move on to my own private practice. So all i need for that is a Master of Psychology. (masters takes 5-7 years in Canada)
