for a dirtbike i would think that you would need a bit of weight and a upperbody strength. you're a growing teenager so dropping a lot of weight wouldn't be too good of an idea. you still need to eat healthy and enough to keep your weight decent, but eat things that are good for you. Not junk food.

Eat well, meaning keeping salty and processed sugar foods to a low (maybe have an occasional treat because you probably don't want to deprive yourself either). Good amounts of fruits and vegetables. Do some cardiovascular exercises to lose some fat, like jumping rope, jumping jacks, running, jogging, walking, or just biking for fun. Stretch to warm up and down. Don't overdo the exercises and don't expect results fast. Start out slow, and as each day passes, slowly increase the workload. Give yourself some off days, too. You can do some strengthening exercises, too.

We also have a struck thread (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=20321) at the top of this forum.

If you want to look into a gym membership, many gyms offer personal trainers that can help you figure out the right workout for your body and for what you're trying to achieve. You can also google it, try "upper body workouts" or whatever you're looking for, see what you come up with. Don't strain yourself though, a good workout is one that you can complete without injuring yourself. You should be breathing hard and your heart should be beating a bit faster, but you should be able to go from start to finish at a pretty even pace. You can always step it up later if things get too easy, but it's always better to start slow until you know exactly what you can handle.

as francis has said, there is a sticky thread at the top of the forum and it gives a straight forward guide to losing weight without doing anything drastic and changing your lifestyle much.
