If you had the materials, would you sacrifice one of the rooms in your house to make your own darkroom?

My dad and I were but we had nowhere to set it up :(

It's more like, would my parents let me have a room in the house to do something like that. It would probably be a no ~ I was promised the extra bedroom YEARS ago to use as a photo studio / room for my business, but that hasn't happened, they use it as a storage room and have no intentions of cleaning it out, so I guess it's left at that.

You on the other hand are sooo lucky you have awesome parents that would actually support something like this if space permitted. My parents are party-poopers. :P

I would! But there are these small canisters that allow you to process without the need of an actual dark room (light proof canisters). But then I realized that at most photo laboratories, the developing process itself is not expensive, but having the photos printed on photo paper, so I wouldn't be saving that much money. Would be fun, though, to try it sometime.
