I think so. Titanfall is my new favorite shooter. Although the reveal for Advanced Warfare looked kind of interesting. They stole a lot of ideas from Titanfall(double jump, mechs).
Haven't seen the new CoD? Check out this E3 Preview: Click Me (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paOP8gok1GM)
What are your thoughts?

To be honest, I've never been all that big a fan of COD.

I don't play it much myself, but my fiance and his friends still do. All. The. Time. And there are a bunch of people who play it with them, so I don't think it's quite dead yet.

No Call of Duty is not dead thanks to the mindless drones that buy it every year because yes despite the obvious decline in quality.

As much as I love Kevin Spacey it's dead, the last decent one was Call of Duty 5 and the last playable one was Black ops, they've just turned into a massive cash cow

No way. Fanboys will be raging on multiplayer trying to do trick shots forevermore.

It's not. I wish it was.
And it's style too.
Meaning this: I didn't really like Titanfall either: It plays A LOT like Call of Duty, except actually LESS balanced.
(TF2 is best Multiplayer Online FPS)

I was a big fan of CoD until about Black Ops 2, then my interest was lost. It's slowly losing momentum, my friends often say they're not getting the next one.

That franchise is dead to me ever since 10-12 year old squeakers took over the servers...

COD Died shortly after MW3 was released. Black Ops 1 put the stamp on franchise, it was a great game. And then MW3 came out everyone had high expectations for it and it was ruined by the horrible game engine that they never replaced.
COD has been dead for 4 years now.

There is no double jump in aw, it's just a super jump but not double jump. And the mech suits are just armor for the person. It's like a more advanced exoskeleton suit. It's impossible for them to steal ideas from titanfall because aw has been in production for over 3 years. It's just titanfall came out a few months earlier. Cod is definitely not dead. If anything, it has been reborn. Ghosts still has a lot of players online on last gen.

I stopped playing COD officially after Black Ops 2. The only reason why I got Black Ops 2 was for zombies and is still the only thing that kept me playing COD. My first COD I bought was Black Ops and that is still my favorite. I have played COD 4, MW2, and MW3. Though Black Ops 2 was the last COD I bought. In my opinion I believe military first person shooters are dying in general. No matter how different they seem they have the same concept and feel like the same game. But that is just my opinion, it's pretty obvious is still popular(mostly with the adolescents) though the game isn't as popular like is used to. I was excited about Advanced Warfare because hey ZOMBIES! Then I figured it this game is not by Treyarch and didn't give two cents about the game.

I liked the modern warfare games for their campaign stories with price and mactavish. :)

Unless they come back with another World War 2 shooter or something similar to Black Ops 1, its over.

I like to have a little hope... I'm sure that Activision will offer some innovative features in the franchise. The only problem is that they're a bunch of dirty milking bastards. When it's an absolute necessity, I'm sure they'll come back around.

Ghosts sucked and advance warfare = ripping off Titanfall. It will die in a few years.

The demand for Call of Duty is still pretty high (I mean, that is pretty obvious if they're going to spend the money to make an additional game), however average consumers are now beginning to notice the decline in the quality of gameplay as well as the dried-up nature of their campaign story lines. The greatest thing CoD has going for the series is its Zombies gameplay, which is better than most zombie games. Perhaps within the next five years CoD will become a shelved series like its Medal of Honor brethren.

CoD died many years ago, they've been trying to milk the same dead cow for years.

No, however it should be. The last acceptable one was the first Black Ops, only because of Zombies, though.

A lot of the bigger gaming franchises are meeting their ends really. I mean, have you seen Battlefield: Hardline yet? Why the hell would I want a Battlefield themed Payday 2? *Sigh* Well, at least I've got Star Wars Battlefront 3 to look forward to.

I don't think they're dead. They'll keep pumping out unoriginal overhyped shooters and their fanbase will keep buying them.
Meanwhile, I'll be looking forward to the next Bulletstorm, Fallout, and Far Cry games.
