Six months earlier I had told my friend about my suicidal thoughts. He had ignored me for nearly six months.

Today, I woke up with my parents screaming harsh terms at one another. I started screaming and left for work. I asked that friend to hang out to avoid my parents for the night. He said okay but it's awkward between us.
I want to ask him what I did to him and talk to him about what happened this morning but I don't know if he wants to have deep conversations like this. What would you do?

I would talk anyway.

That's weird of your friend. It does sound like a good idea to ask your friend why he stopped talking to you, but perhaps just focus on talking about that, and let the conversation flow from there.

Considering you haven't talked in six months, a personal issue not related to the other person, like your morning argument with your parents might be a little strong for a first reunion.

Some friends are the superficial fair weather type. Not interested in helping out or dealing with any of your problems. Just someone who only wants to game with you or whatever.

I guess it depends on how close you two are with each other, and how much you trust him. But if he has been ignoring you for so long, then maybe he won't be the best friend to talk about it with, but you can always try anyway.
