adoption/ foster care?

Is there anyone out there who has willingly left their homes to be adopted by someone else. I am 14 and my entire life I have been surrounded by an alcoholic father and an heroin addict mother. I'm an advanced student and an all star athlete. I am nothing but a role model to my community. I want out of this house. I can't stand being around this. Can I go to social services and be put into foster care? Should I? Would I be able to stay in my school? I need help. All input accepted.

You should do whatever you truly want to and feel you should, but if there's hope there's hope.
If not, you could concider talking this over with social services, but I don't know enough of your situation from your post.

Try talking to social services if you want out, they may be able to help you.

But make sure, because once your gone, i dont think youll be able to go back.

I am in Scotland so do not know what/how your social services or foster system works. But right now you need to have someone to ask and talk to - get the information you need - is there anyone you can ask or even web sites that might give you information - maybe your school could help you.
