I don't really know why, but I've been nervous when I had to go to the doctor. The school requires a physical if you're going to 11th grade. I have to go get one during the summer and I'll probably be nervous. As soon as my parents got the letter in the mail, I started shaking. I hate being so nervous about going to get physicals. I don't want anything to be wrong with me. I'm afraid. I'm afraid of doctors. I wish I wasn't so nervous. Someone help me become less nervous. :( I don't know what advice you could give me but I hate being nervous for something as simple as this. Everyone has to do it. Why can't I be not nervous like everyone else? I feel like I am the only one who feels this way when going to get physicals... How long do these things take? :( I'm freaking out right now and I can't get my mind off of it?

A physical is nothing more than spending your time to be told "it's all fine". You have nothing to be nervous of, and if you did, you'd found it already. If you have nothing to be nervous of why be nervous? You get my point. They'll just give you a check up in around half an hour. The usual school physical may take from 10 to 35 minutes depending on how thoroughly the examine, but I can tell you, everything will be a piece of cake. Cough here, walk there, and off you go. It's very simple. :)

Ok - a lot of people get nervous and anxious in many situations or about things - so you are not the only one but yeah that does not help much. But at least you do acknowledge how you feel and why - that is so much more than a lot do - do you worry about being ill or the docs discovering something - if so then just remind yourself - it is most likey a quick check I know it will be different for girls than boys. You can maybe find out before you go what it all is about and what happens - do you want a parent to go with you? do they have to go?

You on't have to worry about it, it's just a quick session with a simple examination, nothing out of this world. It's not like you'll be told you have a serious illness. Relax and try to not think too much about it.

I get nervous to just relax you will be fine
