Damn you crunchbang!!!

Lately Iv'e been using Crunchbang, so far, its a superb OS. Fast, looks nice, functions well, it's efficient.

BUT, and It's a big but *starts singing I like big buts to himself*...urr...where was I?
Ahh yes, SCREEN TEARING!!!! For some reason Crunchbang doesn't have a working V-sync option... I can deal with this on the desktop, but with video playback it just gets on my nerves.

Does ANYONE, know how to stop screen tearing, Iv'e Googled and Googled and Googled, but none of the solutions seem to work, anyone have anything to help?
