...Holy shit this game is impossible. I've been working on it for nearly an hour now, and have yet to even beat the FIRST FUCKING BOSS! Yet as frustrating as it, I love it at the same time. Anyone else here a fan of Dark Souls? By the way, for anyone on Xbox, it's free to download right now.

Of course I'm a Dark Souls fan, it's the reason why I started being friends with my best friend that I have come to know through VT. The game is so great, love the world design both aesthetically and game-wise. Love all the secrets and the super concealed story. It's straight up awesome.

I have played a small amount of DS... I am just further than the OP (like 10 minutes further...) and so far, seems like a very good game. Very well designed.

Yup, I'm a fan. I've finished it a few times. My first thing to say to you would be: you suck at the game. But, because you just started (obviously) I'll give some advice: persevere. This can apply to more than just Dark Souls (which is why I love the game so much).

Well, to an extent. But it's hard as hell though, and there are times that you're probably going to rage. But still, I enjoy it.

Yea Dark Souls is a masterpiece of level design and lore. The environments and characters are just great and the gameplay is tight. Some of the best atmosphere you'll find in an RPG for sure. While the learning curve is a bit steep upon entry it pays off in a huge way once the world opens up.

I love dark souls!! And lol at it being free for dl on xbox, that is a good deal and everyone who doesn't have it should get it right now.

Anyway, yeah it is a hard game but I have some unhappy news for you, it only gets harder. Like much, much harder :( the first boss is meant as a gentle introduction lol. It seems impossible at first, but you get used to the difficulty after a while.....then when you go back to normal games, it's like **** this is easy.

Well, if you are having such an hard time with the first boss, you're not out of the woods yet (literally).
