I'm grey-asexual, but I masturbate for an orgasm. It isn't connected to sexual desire- which is really only something I feel for my partner.

For me, it's the same thing as going on a roller coaster- and those don't particularly turn me on. I do it because of how it makes my body feel, and I don't do it often. I don't understand why the heck people do.
