It has been about 3 weeks that I've had a boyfriend. I would wait longer to tell her, but the only way I'll be able to go out with him without lying about where I am going would be telling her. I do not know how to bring up the subject, being that I hardly talk to her about such things. I know that she wouldn't get mad or prohibit me from having a boyfriend, but I just find it awkward talking to her about it. She won't be at ease when I mention that I first met him on the internet, and I don't want to lie saying he goes to my school when he doesn't. So how would I go about telling her, and not having her disapprove?

I'm bad at relationships, but hear me out.
Perhaps, you could play it off saying something like. "My boyfirend really wants to meet you, but he's afraid that you'll disapprove of him".

Don't mention the internet part, maybe just say that you met through mutual friends. If she won't get mad or prohibit the relationship, it shouldn't be a huge issue.

Don't bring up how you met him or anything specific at first. That can come later. Its always awkward and their isn't a goof way to bring it up. Just drop it on her when you feel its the least weird. In a car ride or something. She won't have her full attention on you and won't give you the stare down lol. Good luck

You don't have to tell her how you guys met. If she asks, then just try and change the subject. You shouldn't feel pressured to tell her anything you don't want to.
