so i have a friend that used to cut but stopped along time ago but he doesn't understand why he stopped so easily without ever having any relapses and i cant i just keep dont know how to explain the differance between us to him how am i supposed to tell him that sometimes i just don't care if i die i feel worthless and i just cant take the flashbacks and cutting makes everything better at least for a little while?

Maybe he just didn't depend on it as much as you do. Especially if he didn't do it for long. If you want to tell him about suicidal thoughts, you should just bluntly say it. Sometimes knowing that someone knows can help you as you know you have someone to turn to.
