I have spoken to a few members of VT but I don't know if I should go through with it. I have Nodules on my vocal cords because I sing alot ( lke Ariana Grande high ) I used to do higher but since I've had the nodes, my pitch has decreased significantly. I can do the same thing Adele did whit her voice before she had her vocal cord surgery. I don't sing much in front of people but when im alone I do. I sing when I'm stressed ( Always stressed ) So my family doesn't know I have nodes. I haven't been officially diagnosed with it but many vocal cord coaches that ive told what happened say that they think I do. I have most of the symptoms of nodes , and it is growing slowly every time I burst a blood vessel in my vocal cords ( by over using them ). Should I have the surgery or not ?

Hmm, sounds like you may have too. If its causing damage then you might not have another option.
If you decide to, good luck buddy :)

The only thing is , If I have the surgery , it could permanently alter my voice, but If I don't , eventually I won't be able to sing so its a ehhh situation. Thanks for the good luck :)

oh that must suck :/ you should definitely get it checked out, because in my opinion, it's better to not sing crazy songs than not sing at all... But if you don't want any surgeries, you should strongly consider having a vocal rest for a couple of months. That helped me, so yeah...

I'd start with an exam and consultation and then go from there.

I'd say go for it. The word surgery is scary to everyone, but it's something seriopus that could end badly if you don't have it. Go talk to your grandma and tell her what you just told us, and if you should have it, I say go ahead :)
Best of luck

I will when she gets home , she is at work right now. I would have had it already if I was scared that they'd wind up messing it up even wrose , I mean I know the process and how they'd do it pretty well , its just scary ..... Ive had my throat worked on twice before ( different medical reasons ) but this would be number 3 !

my mum has had her eyes worked on 6 (!!) times, so it's never too much when it's for the better

Hi Ryan, probably the best thing to do is to get an ENT physician to take a look down at the vocal cords with an endoscope. Only then will you get a formal diagnosis. Although you may fit a lot of the symptoms, without proper investigations, you cannot be sure. Have you spoken to your family doctor about it yet? They can make a referral for you to be seen by the ENT physician. Hope that helps!
