As part of one of my latest obsessions, I've been bent on having safe sex, (Even though I'm a virgin, and don't plan on having sex until at least college), and as a result, I've been planning to buy condoms just to practice putting them on.

Does anybody else practice putting on rubbers, or am I just that bizarre? :confused:

It's a good idea. If you don't practice you'll never be able to wear them when it is necessary.

I did, a few times before I was still a virgin and for the last 3 years, I try them out to determine the most accurate size and non-latex brand

No that's good, before I started fucking...I went and bought condoms at Walmart and gas stations to get the experience of buying them in front of people and to test condoms (which ironically even though I'm sexually active I rarely use condoms unless it's a one night stand or the girl I fuck isn't in BC)

It's a good idea to try them on before. You need to find the correct size and type for you, after all.

They really aren't that hard to put on, you just take it out of the plastic and then have the rim facing upward on the tip of your dick and roll it till it won't roll any further and you're basically set. Just remember when you pull out, you need to hold the condom onto your dick so it doesn't slip... But that's about the only stuff you really need to know. I'd get a condom and try it on so you know your size and what you prefer and that way you can practice, anyway.

Have you checked clinics that specialize on sex health and education? You may simply have none in your area. But buying online is always an option, even if your local Amazon might not have them, eBay(if not local sellers then international ones) will have cheap packs.

I can get free condoms at my university(and we don't even have dorms or anything like that!), from any hospital in the city and a plethora of organisations supporting safe sex(some of them specialized on LGBT teens). Cheap condoms I can get from sex stores(may not be an option for somebody under the age of 18) for about 5-20 cents each and online. I got my first condoms from Amazon, it was close to Christmas so I just told my parents there would be some presents arriving in the next weeks and asked them not to open any packages. The boy may or may not have included some sex toys as well.

Look out for any type of gay pride event, too, they tend to be just throwing them around, you can easily collect dozens in a few minutes.

It is definitely a good idea to practice putting one on when there is no pressure on you, i.e. when you are on your own and have the time. That way when the time comes you need to do it prior to having sex you won't be panicing trying to work it out.

So, yes, I have practiced putting one on. I don't practice regularly, though. Once you have worked it out you shouldn't forget. Having got it on you may as well try masturbating with it on too, rather than just taking it off again.
