Have you ever been so in love with someone that you cannot think about anyone but them? So much that it actually hurts to think about them?

For me its my straight best friend, hes gonna ask a girl out on Friday and its slowly killing me. I was in love with him 2 years ago and got over him but then after my recent breakup fell for him again. It really sucks :(

Anyone else ever felt anything like that?

I've always thought that love isn't something that should necessarily hurt, sure it can when you break up with someone but if you're not even with this person, it shouldn't hurt. Sure, there are times where I've felt a pain but I wouldn't say it hurt, it was more of a loneliness/guilt feeling rather than anything else. If you've managed to get over him before, you can do that again, you don't need to keep hurting. You need to move on now, especially if you know it's not going to work out. Life is way too short to keep hoping for that one person honestly, there are loads of people out there, you just have to find them. I've always believed in 'everything happens for a reason' and this is one of those times.
