Being the clumsy person that I am. I managed to bruise my upper arm pretty bad. it was a few days ago but yesterday I noticed that it had turn a greenish blue. is there anything i can do to make it go away faster?

Ice. Don't apply it directly to your skin, wrap it in a cloth. If you don't have any ice, try using frozen food. 10 minutes at a time, on and off throughout the day. Other than that, you just should wait it off, don't move the area too much. I hope you feel better!

Hannah, is right...there's not really anything else except putting ice on it. There are some cooling lotions but most of them aren't not worth the money...

Okay thanks! I tried ice and I noticed that it's starting to fade away, slowly but surely

A bruise happens when you rupture blood vessels inside your body, that red/purple/whatever color mark is blood seeping out and staying under your skin.
Or at least that's what I was taught it was. No idea how to fox it, bit at least now you k ow what happens when your arm bruises

haha thanks, I always knew that it was some kind of internal bleeding but I didn't know how it happened. thanks for spreading the knowledge :)

i leaned something cuz i didn't know about using ice to help speed up fading. i bruise really easily and get what are called hematomas which make the injury look a lot more serious then it is :/
