Hi I am 13 and have just started to notice very small amounts of facial hair in the moustache area, but it is a very, very light blonde which makes it only visible in certain conditions. I have pubes but they are very dark black colour, I have only just started to notice armpit hair so not too sure on the colour and my head hair is dark blonde but is mostly browny/black with blonde showing more in the summer when I have been out in the sun alot. My question is whether my facial hair will stay blonde or get darker because all of my friends have normal black facial hair.

Thanks

Its always light when it first comes through, this is called "bum fluff", or it is in the UK.

After a while it will thicken and darken and become proper facial hair.

It will probably get a bit darker, though it's too soon to tell. And there's nothing wrong with having facial hair of a lighter colour.

OK DP (i refer to your username, not double penetration), your mission, should you chose to accept it or not, is to spread the term "bum fluff", I want to hear this being used across the pond as well. Much better than "peach fuzz". That's barely ever used in the UK, reason, its crap.

Yep, seems to be a common term here.

What I've noticed with friends is your facial hair is usually the colour of your pubic hair

I think your Vellus hair is getting thicker... Velus Hair is the light hair that is short, light, and almost invisible. It is beginning to thicken as you progress through puberty, and will someday become Androgenic Hair (Normal Body Hair.) I can assume that your facial hair will be the same shade as the hair on your head... Though it is hard to know, you are only 13... Don't worry, there is not a select "normal facial hair color." Whatever color of hair you have, you will be individually you... :)

What you have right now is peach fuzz. It will continue to get darker as you get older. It will become the same color your hair is . Hope this helps :)
