Say there's a 15 year old girl and an 18 year old guy who are dating. They started dating when he was 17 and they are in love. There's no doubt about it. They live about 6 hours apart but they still manage to stay together and communicate perfectly. Her parents don't like the idea of them dating and neither do his parents, but as I previously stated, there's no questioning that they're in love.
What are your thoughts on this? Is it emotionally safe for them to be together?

As long as you understand each other and can communicate with each other you fine.

Not sure what you mean by emotionally safe but - for sure if they are happy then why not.
Why are you concerned for them?

I'm not very fond of long distance stuff myself, that's because of past experience, it can be very unhealthy and it might take a while to notice, so I'd say listen to your parents, unless they don't like that because he/she is of a different race or religion or something then they can fuck off. With that said the definition of love varies per relationship, tread carefully.

I totally agree with this. The parents probably don't approve because long-distance relationships are soo difficult to maintain, and the couple probably isn't ready or mature enough for the kind of commitment it takes to make everyone happy. And "there's no question they're in love" isn't really evidence that the relationship is mature and healthy. Most teenagers don't know what love is, so it's impossible for me to gauge the seriousness of that claim.
