If you're talking about the gap at school (I think that's what you're talking about) just ignore it-there is no gap, it's a social construct and is in fact a lie. You shouldn't worry about how to 'cross the gap' because it doesn't exist, just be yourself, be friendly and you'll meet new people. I mean if you keep thinking about this 'gap' between everyone then you're only going to make it worse. I'm not sure if this helps, I could be talking about the wrong thing but yeah good luck
