Brother wants to kill me?

My brother threatened to kill me yesterday but when I tell my mom she calls me crazy and a lier. I have nowhere else to go. I am starting to have trouble sleeping at night.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, for instance. I told my brother today that I would "rip out your spine and beat your corpse with it till your unrecognisable as human". However I would never purposfully hurt him.

Sometimes brothers just say thongs without meaning to get a point across

You are very vague about what happened between you. What made you think he is serious? Has he threatened you in the past?...I mean, you sometimes say I'm gonna kill you when you are angry but don't mean it...

It really depends if you think your brother is actually capable of doing such a thing. Me and my brothers have threathen each others many times with killing/cutting/hittinh etc. but it never comes to the point. '
I threatened my younger brother with a knife once to scare him, but I'd never be even capable of doing the actual deed.

Like everyone else has said, it's not uncommon to be threatened by siblings, and he may not be serious or capable of doing it. However, you know him way better than all of us, so if you think he's telling the truth, you need to find help. If your mom isn't that help, find another adult you trust. A teacher, a neighbor, a relative. Do what you can to possibly save your life.

Threatening with death is a police matter. If you call the police your parents will know you're not lying. But you wouldn't call the police on your brother would you? I think you should try to tell your mom you're not lying and get her to listen. This is serious.
