So, I've been single forever. Since the sixth grade, I've only continuously liked one person. Never told her. Remained friends. Still like her though. There's no hope that this relationship will happen, so I'm trying to get over it. Since I began to like her, my relationships have been weird. I'll start out interested in someone and it'll spark. The smallest things will turn me on. Is that normal? But as we continue in the relationship, I'll get annoyed because some of their characteristics will completely turn me off and then I lose feeling. This has happened in all of my relationships except that one girl from the sixth grade. Now, what I'm trying to find out, is, is it normal to be able to be turned completely off by the smallest, most unimportant characteristics of a person? Is it shallow? Because I see all these couples and I've started to despise them. I desperately want a relationship but I'm just so picky. People call me self centered because if I described what I was looking for, the person would be a whole lot like myself. But the whole opposites attract thing, just doesn't work for me. It only gets on my nerves. And this girl is a female version of me. There are little differences in our personalities. Need help. Please give me any advice or thoughts. I'm open to it all.
