Girls are self conscious about their body. They want to be thin and stuff

So I was wondering, are guys self conscious about their bodies too?

Yeah...being healthy; a decent size and quite muscular

Yes we are, in most if the same ways girls are. Everyone is self conscious. Ignore the steriotype of the teenage male, the really doesn't exist anymore...

Yeah, my close guy friends are my team mates. We are all obsessed with our bodies. Some more than others. We all want to impress the ladies. Nothing wrong with that.:)

Yes, I for one, unfortunately can't deny that. I think that we're just really obsessed in how people view us that we can't afford but look good whenever they take a look at us *sigh*

Yes, Guys wanna be big, muscular and stuff like that ( although I could care less ) Only thing I wanna keep that I already have is being skinny ( which starts to fade by the time im 30 runs in the family )

Guys are quite self-conscious themselves. We want toned, muscular bodies.

In some cases, even more so than girls. There's a lot of pressure on guys to be 'big' which leads a lot of people to taking supplements.

Yeah, I am definitely self conscious about my body, unfortunately, but I'm not doing anything to change it. I don't need to look "perfect".

Most certainly - and I think it's healthy to an extent. Especially in the last 2 decades or so, men have been under immense social and media pressure to achieve an ideal. The pressure isn't as suffocating as it is for many women and the ideal(low body fat, decent amount of muscle) is a lot healthier than the ideal woman are supposed to strive towards(ridiculously skinny yet still with big breasts and a firm butt, which is almost impossible to achieve naturally), but it's there.

In an age where obesity is on the rise, we NEED strong pressure to stay thin in order to work as a society.

Of course guys are self conscious. Most guys want the tall, muscular look. Plus, look at how self conscious guys are about penis size.

Yes, we are just as self conscious as girls are. I often worry about my looks, intelligence, social standing, etc. Most other guys are to.

I'm terribly guilty of that.

Personally, I'm not at all. Although I've been swimming for my entire life which kind of involves getting naked in front of everyone when we have to change into our swimsuits... So yeah

Take one look any magazine with a guy in it. He's always ripped and super good looking. That makes us guys want to be that way too. Unfair body standards aren't only put on women in this society.

Good question. We are actually really self-conscious but we try not to show it because girls find it unattractive... We try to be really confident when we can as well.

I honestly am not as self conscious as others are. Ive always played
Football, baseball, track, and wrestling so ive always had a nice body and was always in shape. All i know is that you should work with what god gave you. Some things you can change and others you cant.

Yeah I had to go to the hospital for body image issues and am currently addicted to steroids and other drugs to get the magazine body.

Yes I think guys are just as concerned about how they look, maybe we just hide that fact better than girls, or don't want to admit that we do.

Wow, reading down through the responses, is there a typical bullheaded moron guy that doesn't give half a turkey what people think about him anymore? I mean other than me of course. That being said, it should be easily deducted that, no, I am not self conscious about my body.
