How long did it take you to be comfortable about being naked around other people ? How did you get over being seen ? ( Reason why Im asking is im a very shy person and a friend asked me if I wanted to go "muddin" with him and his buddies and they go shirtless EVERYwhere ( and I still haven't told him Im bi :/ ) so that another thing, Anyway He wanted me to use his clothes and change with him and I came up with a lie so I wouldn't have to do it. )

everyone is different about it and there's nothing wrong with that. i'm kinda the exact opposite and oblivious to anyone seeing me bare, which isn't necessarily the best thing.

because of my autism i have what's called lack of self awareness. it's just not something i think about. which has caused me to walk out of my room with nothing on when company was over or walk outside that way during a swimming party, so like i said not necessarily the best thing.

no reason to feel bad at all. it's something we joke about at home or on vacation :)

Well idk , people say I have a nice body ( those of the FEW that have seen it ) and facial features ( I REALLY need a hair cut though :/ ) but idk I don't have much confidence at all I guess. I am a modest / shy person. I don't even like going shirtless in front of anyone ( unless its my cousin Elizabeth cause we've been close ever since she was born )

Well, i'm mostly straight, but curious. And a lot of other guys my age are too. So, i thought if i don't care about being naked maybe being naked together could lead to some experimenting; even if we were just changing. So, usually i'll just say "look away if you care, but i don't care".
TL;DR: being naked might lead to some "experimenting"

I am still not completely comfortable. Before, I am still a little apprehensive but when it comes down to it I am completely fine. For me, I became more comfortable when I started playing for the senior rugby team at school about a year ago. Most of the team go naked in the changing rooms and so it is more unusual to not be naked in there... so yeah! :D

It really depends on the person. Some people are never comfortable being naked around others (I personally don't like being publically naked or shirtless around others) some people just love being shirtless and hate clothing.

well, up until i was 13 i would never even think of getting naked in front of any one else, i was extremely private. But i formed and insanely tight bond with 7 boys, who have become my brothers and who i spend every week of my life with, and we got naked in front of each other all at the same time, and ever since then, after a couple more times doing it, i have become comfortable.

Oooh I feel you man. I'm still not comfortable with being shirtless... I try to wear something all the time, even when I'm at home... and alone. I'm pretty skinny so maybe that's where this diffidence comes from. But by the looks of it (yes, I've checked your profile pic and you seem really cute and no, that's not weird) there's nothing to be ashamed of for you. I'm sure it still sucks, but hopefully we all will get more confident over time :)

Yeah well the only problem I have is I have grown up with girls my whole life so I naturally act like a girl ( I don't speak like one though ). Idk why I just am so the thought of taking off any of my clothes is like .... just you get my point. Thanks for explaining it though & taking the time to post in the thread :)

Same here but I haven't experimented much with any of my friends so I haven't ever been naked infront if any of my friends. Last time I was naked in front of my mom , I was 5 so its been 10 years of shyness for me .....

It never bothered me that much and I think it was because I have two brothers that I'm used to being naked around at home, and I play a lot of team sports that mean showering together. As the guys have said, everyone is different and it's perfectly okay to feel the way you do - and most people probably are shy, at least a first.
All I could say is, after the first few times, the business of being bare will be less and less important compared to the fun you're having with the sport or game or whatever. Think of it like learning to swim - takes courage and effort to do succeed, but it's easy and massive fun once you've gotten used to it. ;)

Having 5 boys sharing 1 bathroom you get comfortable nude with family quickly. Took baths with all my brothers at one time or another, we will jump into the shower with each other when short on time and we all use the pool nude. Have skinny dipped with a couple of my older brother's friends a few times but sadly none of my friends yet.

I too am skinny and I never used to be comfortable even wearing short sleeve t-shirts. I'm getting better about it but I found that most people don't care about how you look as much as you do. Learning to be comfortable with yourself helps a lot, but it takes time.

Though I am the direct opposite of you I understand your position. It is you and that is ok. I am comfortable being naked with my family because I have always been naked with my family. It is just the way my brother and I grew up. I am 17 and he will be 16 in a couple of weeks. I don't see that your situation has anything to do with your sexual orientation. It is just you. If you are comfortable that is good. If you want to stretch your boundaries, the next time your friend offers, take him up on it. He may be looking for more of a relationship. You can get more comfortable with your body if you start being naked when you are in your room and in bed. The more you are naked, the more natural it will feel. As it becomes more natural feeling you will find it easier to be shirtless around family and close friends. How do you feel at the pool?

At the age of 15/16 I became extremely confident with myself, mainly because of the puberty changes because it was stuff I always wanted to do but couldn't but now I could (like sex in public places or just walking around naked) now I'm a very open person and my family is very open too. We are all pretty much nudists...no one is afraid to have sex out in the open or in their room with an open door! And I don't like clothes so I try to wear as less as possible and I'm naked where it's accepted....it'll take some time to get comfortable and pm if you have any more questions

I'm still really shy about it so that I usually avoid swimming (even though I used to all the time) and changing rooms and, when I do, it can never be spur of the moment, like, I have to check first if any hair in places is too long or if I'm self-conscious about it and need to get rid of it (for a while I shaved my armpits and, if I went swimming, I would probably shave my chest). I'm very shy too and going shirtless freaks me out - I want to, but I can't, plus its hard to be in situations where I could end up staring at someone shirtless.
