It's actually not a simple process (so much that many need help to get a proper size). Sizes are composed of a number and (two) letters, such as 32A or 43DD. Try reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brassiere_measurement, not exactly easy to follow.

It changes depending on where you live, but it's basically a number and a letter.
The number measures below your chest (aka just your ribs) and the letter is the actual size of your boobs. To find the letter, they normally just find the two measurements and subtract, and if it's xx difference, then you're this size.
