I'm trying to stop masturbating for good. It's proving to be more difficult than I imagined. Any tips?

Busy yourself by doing something instead of having that free time when you decide your going to masturbate, it will keep your mind off it and it will help prevent the temptation to do it.

I hope you don't take offence to this question. Why would you want to give up masturbation?

My sentiments exactly...

Ask yourself these questions first:

1) How many times a day do you masturbate?

2) Is masturbation interfereing with school work, social life, family life, job, etc.?

3) Are you in pain masturbating? (Redness, too firm a grip, chapped skin, etc.)

Perhaps you might only masturbate once a day? A quick one before bed to de-stress?

Good Luck!

I don't quite see why you want to quit, be it religion or ethical. Its natual and healthy, anyone who says otherwise can't be very well educated...not to offend

Anyway, you could try finding something to do in your spare time so your never with nothing to do, try to keep sexual thoughts from your mind. Try getting a job or working out, do something physical, something with your hands...,well....something that's not jacking off...

I used to try not to. Gave up. It does have positive healthy effects.

I've been doing it for ten years-yeah got an early start. It gives a lot of pleasure and takes a lot of pressure off. Relax, develop a reasonable routine, and enjoy the pleasure. It is a natural part of being a human.

If someone wants to stop, I don't see why it's any of your places to probe them as to why, or to possibly convince them otherwise. If they wanted to share their reason(s), they would have.

Anyway, OP, what most people said here already is correct. Busy yourself with other things, and if you get an urge, try and get up and do something else. It doesn't have to come all at once and you'll probably slip up, but if you're serious about it and give it time, you'll get there.

Well, I haven't jerked off in like, three days, which I'm used to doing it every day about 2-3x. It's not as hard as I thought it'd be. I'll jerk off tonight for sure. Then again, I was taking care of a newborn baby the entire time, so I had shit to do...

Not to long ago I stopped for 25 days and 5 hours. I can't think of any tips apart from just stop and don't think about. To distract yourself from it try do something that would require 10 mins

Do puzzles. They take forever. Good time waster. Seriously
