I don't think there's a huge risk of an STI from just exchanging handjobs, unless you got cum in a cut or somehow got it inside your body. What you did would be illegal in the UK (don't know which country you're in) so you did run a big risk of getting into serious trouble. I would say put it down to experience - you felt like trying something different; you were curious to know what it would feel like. But, if I was you, I wouldn't ever do it again! :)
