Ok guys, since I'm an idiot, I changed my iPhone's passcode and forgot it. I figured that that I could just use the fingerprint sensor, but after I used a finger that was covered with Dorito dust, it didn't recognize my finger and won't allow the sensor to work. The only way into the phone is through a passcode which I have NO clue of what it could possibly be. What do I do?

Dude! That sucks!! I have no idea, I would say take it to a nearby apple store if there is one.

I believe connecting it to iTunes can help?

Well, next time I would suggest don't be so stupid....but I feel that may offend.

You may have to take it to the Apple store and have one of the "geniuses" have a look at it for you. Other than that, try to remember the damn code.

This is why writing something down on paper is a good idea. I used to have my phone's passcode stuck on a sheet on the bedroom wall but I don't bother with it now because I'm too careful a lot of the time

If you connect it to the iTunes store and reset the phone it'll work, but it will also clear out all of your photos, contacts, everything. I agree, go meet with a 'genius' first.

Yep, I tried that but it required me to enter the passcode before it would restore the phone. I think I'll end up going to an Apple Store.

Huh, I guess it's changed since I had my old iPod touch (I have the iPhone 5c now but I don't have iTunes as my computer has half as much space as my phone does). Best of luck. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it for you.

Thanks for making me laugh :D  but then there would probably be the problem of having to get them in the exact same place to make the sensor work properly. Exactly the reason why I won't make my phone more secure, the only chance I have of losing it is by dropping it when skipping along the street as my pockets don't have zips and I'm always feeling around in my pockets to make sure it's still with me anyway

Buying an Android doesn't prevent you from forgetting a passcode.

What i was getting to is on android if you forget your passcode you can backup your stuff and erase your phone and then restore it and everything will be there after.
