What size should a signature image be?

I desperately need to change my avatar, signature and profile pic as they have been the same since remembrance day.

I will be creating my sig pic on photoshop because I could never get my head around fireworks and maybe I might set up a sig pic store in other works to create avatars and signature graphics for other people.

What I need to know is the size of the signature pic must, limits on resolution and if possible the same for avatars and profile pictures. Thanks in advance!

400 X 300 or 70kb for profile pictures, 120 X 120 or 50kb for avatars and 450 X 175 or 75kb for signatures.

Just adding, the limit is applied on the applicable restriction first - i.e. you cannot have a 300X300 profile pic that's 75kb or a 130x120 avatar that's 45kb.
