I'd talk things out before deciding to give her another chance or break up with her. If it's obvious that they're making shit up to make it seem less bad, then I'll break up with them on the spot. I like honest partners, even if it's not in the most positive way.
And believe it or not, not everyone cheats just because they're sick and tired of their partner.
