View Full Version : How much is too much?

It seems as if I lack this attitude of stopping while I'm ahead. Shit I'm only sixteen and I'm on 5 year probation, plus mandatory rehab. Yet, it still hasn't hit me that I should stop. Maybe it comes with maturity? Every time I go out I do every drug in front of me and drink every last drop of alcohol until there's nothing left. Last time I did 16 mg of hydromorphone plus half a bottle of absolute citrus, even though I was supposed to be tested 3 days later. Luckily I passed using fake piss but that's not the point. I just can't control myself when there's a drug round me, and I know other people can't make me stop. Should I go into inpatient? Honestly I don't want to stop...
(apparently I had an older account I forgot about so I'm just reposting on the older one)

Try not going out, maybe this way you can stay away from the drugs.

Of course you don't want to stop, you're addicted to drugs. When you're addicted to drugs, there is nothing better in the world than getting a fix. If you don't have the will to abstain from drug use, you need to really isolate yourself from them. Drug therapy and rehab isn't going to help you if you don't put the effort in yourself. If your friends are encouraging you and prolonging your problem, then maybe you should consider distancing yourself from those friends while you recover, or let them in on your problem. They may be more supportive if you open up to them.

I hate that isolation, which is an issue. I know it comes from yourself. Only yourself can make you change. I'm moving to kentucky within the next 2 months so i think this will be good. I've never really been the person to ask upfront for help but I guess I should tell them. Thanks for the advice guys.
