Okay so here is the story sorry its gonna be kinda long. Me and my best friend have known each other for years and for like the last 8 years if one of us stays at the other house we always just share a bed. We sleep in just our boxers and we tend to kinda cuddle and sometimes spoon each other. Which was always fine just between us but last weekend we had a party at his house and a couple other people stayed when we were sleeping one of them came in his room and took a pic of us to spooning shirtless. Now he is showing this pic to everybody we know and now everybody thinks we are gay idk what to do. My girlfriend even keeps questioning me. I guess first i wanna know if its really wierd for straight friends to cuddle and second any idea how me and my friend can fix this.

Yes you can be straight and cuddle with a guy friend. Also, to fix it, just show off your girlfriend a lot

First, most close friends sleep cuddled, there is nothing wrong with it, so don't worry.
Secondly, if your girlfriend loves you then she will understand, if she don't understand then let it go, she is not the only girl in the world. How old are you?

that's a cruel thing for someone to do to you.
There's nothing wrong with that if you are both happy to do it, it must be nice to have a friend to do that with so don't feel bad about it.
You can laugh it off with anyone that give you a hard time about it, tell them its not their business, but don't let on your worried over it, then this friend would get an even bigger kick out of it.
Reassure your girlfriend that she has nothing to be concerned about.

me and my cousin sleep together exactly like that just in underwear and cuddling/spooning, and it's 100% not sexual. so yeah you can love your friend and sleep together cuddling without it being sexual. and it's shit thing what happened to you. you guys aren't doing anything wrong.

The guy who took the pictures probably hates his social life that much that he wants to ruin yours. Don't let him, tell your girlfriend that nothing's going on between you two and tell people to mind their own business.
Also, it is not weird at all for you and your friend to be cuddling, this means you both have a really good relationship with each other and there's nothing wrong with that.

Nah it's just mates being mates aha, that's what they do people probably don't actually think you guys are gay, they're just joking around saying that...but yeah there's nothing wrong with it at all, I'm 17 and str8 and I have a friend who's always sleeping in my damn bed when we go to festivals and stuff, it's just you guys are close that's all...your gf shouldn't be questioning you though haha, tell her if she really thinks you're gay then why's she with you?

Just tell them you both were asleep. Can't be held responsible for what we do in our sleep. The guy that took the pic is an ass.

I have woken up to a friend spooning me, with his arm around me and everything, more than once. I'm not straight myself, but these friends were. It's not really weird, a sleeping person isn't thinking about who is next to them, if they want to cuddle, god damn it they want to cuddle :P It's comforting, loving, and warm. But seriously, you're not weird, and I'm sure it happens a lot more often than you think.
If someone took a picture solely to embarrass you, and went around showing people, then that person isn't much of a good friend, now is he? To fix it, just play it off. Don't be too bothered by it, I'm sure it will be forgotten soon.

No it's just an expression of your love and you just have to confront him and ask why he was being a paedophile and taking pictures of you while you were asleep

this might be something they joke about for awhile... the best thing to do to make the joke not fun anymore is to claim it yourself. joke about doing it yourself and don't let people get to you. then itll get old pretty fast for them

I never did a thing like that, but I think it could be possible although you're straight

I think its totally normal, if its what you have been doing for years and you are comfortable, there is nothing wrong with it!

to fix things with your girlfriend you just have to show her your love for her. If you're old enough you do something sexual and romantic and if your not old enough you do something romantic for her. And kick the guy in the nuts who took the foto. :) nah dont do that it'll only make it worses. show off your girlfriend

The taunts will stop with time. If you're really concerned just try flaunting your girlfriend and letting people know you're in a relationship with her.

1) That guy's an ass. Prod him generally with a hockey stick if you ever are alone together.
2) If your girl thinks you're gay, then ask her why is she still with you?
3) It's fine for good friends to cuddle, and spoon, and all that. Just don't let it get to your head (if anybody knows what I mean, I'm not sure if you do.)
4) The boxers and shirtless are fine too. I'd do it, but I don't trust anyone enough.
I wouldn't do this, I have too much of a hard time trusting people already to do something like that. Not to say you shouldn't.

Non-sexual closeness seems quite nautual and common to me. Children enjoy it and animals of all ages seem to indulge in it, particularly when sleeping.
As people, depending on cultural norms we tend to stop doing it at some point in our development, perhaps in case it is misinterpreted but that doesn't makeit wrong and cultural norms vary from one place to another. In itally it is quite normal for friends or male relatives to hug and kiss on meeting, in the UK it is more usual to shake hands.

Yeah, man, that'll REALLY help when rumors fly around school he's gay. You.Can't.Beat.Rumor's. Any one that says you can is living in a dream world. Once people believe something of you it sticks in their subconscious and even if they don't realize it they're influenced by it. Sad truth.
To clarify, perhaps saying cuddling another guy is gay is kinda extreme, but there ARE many that share that view

I'm not disagreeing at all with what you had to say, just the way you said it. It is a sad truth. But, calling someone "dawg" is very wrong. To me, even if you did not mean it that way, it was very judgmental and a huge put down. But, at the end of the day we are in basic agreement. Have a good day.

What is wrong with 'dawg?' I always thought it was just a gangsta way of saying dude. And I didn't realize you agreed with me, my apologies.

Firstly it's fine for two straight guys to spoon if you two are fine with it. Because it's obvious you guys have a real close friendship, like a brotherhood.
And about what to do - don't act like it's a big deal, people will see you getting angry about and will deliberately do it to get a reaction out of you two. Plus you have a girlfriend just show her off a lot as well :) hope this helped

It's normal. And that second "friend" that took a pic of you and is showing everyone isnt really a friend. he seems like an asshole and is doing this to hurt you. If i was in your shoes i would probably fight him. but thats just me.

If anything it's awesome that you have a friend that you trust and can cuddle like that and not worry. Don't let everyone else ruin it for you. Rumors are rumors for a reason, because they aren't true. Don't let it get to you. It won't last forever. Geez if anything, I wish I had a friend like that to cuddle with, it sounds relaxing to be able to trust someone like that.
