How do you know that YOU like/love someone? HOW DO YOU FEEL??? Do you like everything about them? Do you HAVE to like everything about them? Do you ever disagree on some stuff with a person you like? It doesn't have to be physical features, I'm talking about personality features too!
There's a girl I like for 2 years, but I've talked to her the most this year of senior year. She makes me smile and laugh every time I see her. We like the same things, music type (even though trying to sing in Japanese is quite hard), anime, food, personality, sports, and activities. We work together often in group projects.
BUT DOES NOT like everything I like to do. I have a large music taste, but some songs she doesnt like, so I don't want to irritate her if a song shuffles and plays. Some activities she doesn't like such as tennis, and going to parties. She doesn't like to dance, I DON'T EITHER (well, not in front of random people).
Also, she's going to Japan for university for 4 years...I don't know if I should confess to her, or keep quiet and be great friends? Should I wait for her?

When you love someone, you can't stop thinking about that person. You're constantly imagining stuff in your mind about that person. When you talk to her, when you look at her, even when you just touch her, you feel like you don't care about anything else in that moment, you just want to focus on that person.
Anyway, you two don't have to be exact copies of each other and have the exact interests, and you shouldn't let that affect your relationship. The problem is, she's going to be away from you, so even if she likes you as well, it won't be the same, so I guess it's better if you just stay friends with her.

I think you ARE in love with her- and yes, you don't have to be exact matches in order for your relationship to work! Seriously, ask her out and don't be afraid. The worst she could give you is a no (or in my case, a slap on the face and then a long, dreamy kiss). She sounds terrific though :)

Being in love feels like your in heaven, when that person is near you, you feel so comfortable and happy and excited just looking at them.
They are perfect in everything they do, or say or wear etc
Telling might be scary, but would you regret not telling her.
