So in September i'm moving in with my Nan and going to a new school. im a city girl and will be moving to the country side so obviously things are quite a bit different.
My question is, what is it like at a new school? i'm worried about making friends, i don't want it to be hard or lonely. Any advice? Thanks:cool:

New school is kind of hard, but I bet you'll be able to fit in soon enough. I know this is the cliche answer, but seriously just be yourself. People aren't gonna want to know the fake you after all.
Don't be nervous, just think of the good that might come out of the whole thing.

ive been to about 6 schools in 6 years so i can tell you the first week is pretty awkward but after that you start finding friends and people to hang out with. One school i went to i got jumped and then fought back and ended up winning so the "cool kids" saw it and i became a "cool kid" within a week. It all matters just be open to conversation

Just make friends with the first person that introduces him/herself.

hmmm lets see. going to new schools is always fun and horrible. but i guess this is your first time, so, yea, if you have a hobby or something, like a sport, or something, you will make friends, and give it some time and then ppl will start like getting to know you. and also stick with people like you. even if it means having 5 plus groups of friends

I start at a new school, too in a couple of days...it's not my first time but I'm always nervous so I totally understand you.
My advice, be yourself, be nice and be open...introduce yourself to others...if you have any hobbies take a look if there are any school clubs for them cuz this is always great to make friends...that's all I can think of right now.

Be yourself...and show the enthusiasm to make friends.

I got on fine in college by a mix of hiding behind a mask and being myself to start with. I only knew one person in my course before we started there because of school so that left me and him to meet 26 new people as there are 28 in the tutor group. We've split since then, because he only seems to be talking to the people on the one side of the room and I'm talking to the people on the other side as well as my crazy now-best friend. I dont know if to say I actually "hid behind a mask" as such but I dressed up as Cartman for 5 weeks solid and wore the exact same clothes only changing t-shirt. In that aspect I'm worse now, I've bought more colourful pairs of trousers so I can co-ordinate my outfits better and I've ended up changing myself a lot. I made friends really quickly but the problem is if I took something to sort out my problems of being a headcase I probably wouldn't be able to communicate with them because most of the stupid things I do are down to me not thinking straight.
Be yourself, it's the best thing to do, although you should also consider the possibility of having to change yourself at least just a little if it doesn't go too well to start with.
