Wheatley

Hey,
So I don't know how much people here like to just debate the bare bones of human existence or such. But I think about this stuff all the time and it fascinates me. So, I decided it'd be a cool idea to start a "Ponder with Wheatley" thing. Meh, just spice things up a lil
Short Question: If Sexual Jealousy is an evolutionary trait to prevent cuckoldry, why do people who don't / can't have children in the traditional way get jealous?
Debating Point: People who can't/won't have kids in the traditional way (gays, fertility issues, not interested in kids etc...) still get jealous if they see their partner with someone else (even just for a friendly chat, depending on the person, usually the partner will get jealous). Looking deeper then the obvious (she/he is mine), why get jealous?
So what's your view on this?
