The average for a fully grown adult is 6-7" so your developing fine and I would say that is average for a teenager that is developing through puberty.

To be honest I would consider 4.3 to be pretty small for 17, but 5.5 is a perfectly normal size and certainly cant really be called tiny. I would have thought it would be unusual for your erect size to vary by that much?

Its hard to know what to say, you haven't exactly said how small you think you are when soft, or how big you are when erect. However you seem to be saying that you're OK with your size when erect and, to be honest, thats all that matters really. Lots of us are not very big on the slack, but so long as there's enough there to do a job when standing to attention thats the main thing. Scrotum size will vary a lot anyway depending upon body temperature and other things.

from what i hear you are just a "late bloomer" and you have nothing too worry about. your penis isnt "small" its actually within the average adult penis length so you are fine there.. i no it must be very frustrating but all you can do is wait it out. wish you luck and hope i helped

First, you're only 17.
You need not worry about any processes of puberty, they will happen, you will just have to take my word on that. Some boys/men have puberty last well into their 20's.

Second, talk to a doc if you want, but most likely he'll tell you the same things I've just told you (Only more lengthy and using bigger words).

You really aren't behind (Though it can seem like it at times).

Hey dudes, just posting with hopefully a reassuring post, I was a follow man worried about his penis size, when I was younger I had a twisted testicle that needed an operation, medical stuff up lead to soft tissue damage making it hard for me to get fully erect, no pun intended. I had sex for the first time a few days ago, on average I peak at around 5.5" but have been known to hit 6. Your body doesn't care that we humans have created this device called 'time' in our attempt to understand everything.

Your body doesn't follow a specfic path through puberty, it does what it needs to do.
Penis growth has no set start date, and no set stop date. It can complete in as few as 1-2 years, or go on for as long as 10 years.

Also, are you worried or something? At 7" erect, you're already at the high-average size for an adult. Too much bigger and you risk hurting your partner.

Girth does happen later in puberty. And your testicles may be tight because they may be cold, and to keep the sperm alive the scrotum tightens as to warm up the testicles to body temp. About the size when soft, there's no way to change it that couldn't also damage it, and no one wants to break their dick! You could also just drink more water which helps somewhat. You're still 17 and there's still time to grow, so don't worry!

5.5" is a pretty decent size for 14, already in the average adult size range and you should be able to expect some more growth yet. No one can really predict for you how much more it will grow, it varies too much from person to person and depends how far through puberty you are now.

Well Qwerty4 its not very big but its also not unusually small for someone of your age, just perfectly normal. From one of your other posts I believe that you are still quite young and not very far into puberty yet, so you have a lot of growing left to happen down there. I know it must be annoying if your friends seem bigger, but you'll probably catch up in the end, who knows you might even overtake them size wise later on.

You're obviously still going through puberty, which means that there is still plenty of time to get bigger.
a) It might grow, there is no way to be certain, but remember, there will be lots of people with smaller girths.
b) Well your balls usually become tight to keep warm to maximise sperm production, so if they are still like that in a hot bath/shower, then this is natural for you and they might loosen soon.

Also, i don't think you need to see a doctor unless the tightness of your balls is causing you a lot of pain.

If you are uncut it probably will stay there your whole life, unless your penis grows within the next few years which it might :), it also could be you frenulam (Spelling not correct) you could have excess skin on that.
If you are cut you probably just had a loose cut you could get the skin removed by a doctor :)

Well first off, take this gently, dont double post, use the Edit button if you need to add to or correct your last entry.

Now honestly, dont worry about your penis size. Its almost impossible to say whats normal at an age like 13, there will be so much variation. Some guys will be well into puberty, and others, like you it seems, will hardly have started. You cant do anything to change this.

All you can do is live with it for the moment. Its a bastard if you get teased or anything, but your time will come. There's no reason to assume you wont get up to at least average height and penis size later on.

There's so much variety, everyone's experience is different really. Many of us are pretty unimpressive when flacid, thats very normal. I would expect you girth will increase too.

Condoms generally only come in a standard size or extra large ones I believe. The erection size for 15 year olds will vary tremendously, some guys wont be too advanced at that age and others will be already at more or less their adult size. I guess anything in the range 4.5 - 6 inches would be typical with a few guys smaller than that and a few more larger.

Your penis sound a perfectly normal size for flacid to me, lots of guys aren't very impressive on the slack, me included. If you're worried about your balls then get them checked by the doctor, thats the only answer really and its no big deal to get them looked at.

They should grow really soon, you sound just like a late bloomer nothing to worry about, give it about 6 months if nothing happens then go and see your doctor

That is a small size for 17 y.o., if I was you I would consult the doctor about that, there may be hormone treatment that would help.

The size of your penis when it's flaccid is irrelevant to anything sexual, or anything related to the size of your penis when it's hard. People grow 5 inches between flaccidity and erections. Assuming you mean erect, no not small at all, a very typical size for your age. Normal adult size is in the range 5-7" so you're already in that bracket and likely to have a bit more growing yet to come.
