Genetic Predisposition

I have noticed that within my family, people seem to be rone to getting addicted to tobavco and alchohol. I am really scared now cos i dont wanna ruin my life! This means I have to work extra hard:-( does anyone else think that it runs in their family?

Hmmm let me see.....both my Grandpas and my Father were alcoholics. My father gave me my first taste of alcohol at age 4 and I've been drinking ever since so yeah I'd say it runs in the family.

To get addicted you have to start drinking/smoking first. If you're scared you'll get addicted just don't start since you can control yourself in doing that.

To be honest though, this is quite say, reality will be a bit more complicated, though I've managed to not touch a single cigarette in my life yet.
