I keep my pubes shaved completely smooth but shaving so often is such a pain, wondering if waxing would be better, any of you tried waxing and is it any better than shaving?

I personally don't shave my pubes, I am thinking about it though.

The real risk when Shaving or Waxing the area is the possibility of Staph infections from ingrown hairs.

(They appear as pimples that you can't pop. You need to physically cut iinto the follicle to pull the hair free to reduce inflammation and or pain from it)

Shaving has a tendency of giving razor burn, which are ingrown hairs, but by a razor it's only a few hairs if any that become ingrown. Waxing has been known to make it even worse by causing mass-ingrown hairs, as you tear all the hair away at once. Not to mention the pain associated with waxing.

Personally, I just use a pair of scissors and cut the pubes down to a few millimetres in length. Avoid unnecessary aggravation of your follicles and it can always be snipped again.
The few times I've shaved completely around my penis were itchy and while I miss the smooth v-line I had masturbating before puberty, it's not worth it imo to get it back for a few days and put up with the savage itching.

You won't be like that for much longer. And then you'll be stuck with them for decades thereafter. Enjoy your pre-pubescent body while you can.

Never knew ingrown hairs were so serious, sounds horrible! you're probably shaving wrong, i never get any irritation or ingrown hairs

Well a single hair is enough to ruin your day (and your self-confidence because of the aesthetic look of a red spot around your genitals)
And then you have to wait for the inflammation to go down.

Personally I prefer trimming it short rather than shaving and save myself much of the unnecessary pain.
