Well that is a bit of a bold and cruel way to put it.
I wouldn't generalize it like that (even though I'm known to generalize, and for that I am sorry).
It is true however, that religion mostly relies on the indoctrination of children.
People that have been indoctrinated at young age will stay in that religion in most cases.
There are many christians (or any other religion), that doubted their beleif at some point before finaly "coming out" as to be atheist.
They describe their religion as mentl gymnastics, which in some cases it is;
mild religion however is not always mental gymnastics or delusion or whatever; as in people beleiving in the general existence of a higher power.
Anyway, whatever floats their boat;
in my subjective opinion, I think alot of religious ideas are pure and simple mental limitation.
This can be for any reason, like to ease the mind or to feel at peace.
So it's basicly their choise.
What I am DEFINETLY against is the indoctrination of small children about things like hell, sin, satan, as in telling them they have to do certain things, or else they will go to hell.
I don'know, I feel like I could elaborate much further but I don't really think it's nescecairy.

That's the only way a religion survives....

Like I have already said - there are open threads which actually DEBATE disproving/defending of religion. Granted you may have your opinions, but there is no reason to start multiple threads because you may think it's funny to generate hate on a help forum. This section is for debate, not your personal joke forum. :locked:
