Hey guys, Danie here. I was at the doctor yesterday for a routine check, and he said that I was a total of seven kg overweight. How is that even possible? I don't even have a stomach or anything! And I'll try to send a pic, but I seriously don't know how this thing works. I really doubt that I'm overweight.:(:confused:u

Maybe he was going off your BMI? That or if you have muscle, muscle weighs more than fat, therefore can make you appear on paper to be overweight, but of course you're not. What's on a piece of paper or the scales is irrelevant, if you feel comfortable in yourself that's all that really matters.

What Natalie said is absolutely correct. BMI charts are extremely unreliable - they're maybe good to base off of, but as she said, muscle weighs more than fat. The BMI chart is solely based on just the weight and the height, without taking into account the weight of muscle.

I honestly wouldn't worry too much. As long as you're happy. You're also only 13, so you're likely not even close to being done growing, so if there is any concern (which I don't believe there is), it'll all even out.

Thanks, guys. I mean, I was worried, because he said I was overweight, and I have actually been chipping on the stomach flab to expose my abs. I have muscle, yes, I'm a great swimmer and chicks normally dig me, so I have to have. It could also have been so. But I think Val thought I was fat, and that's why I worried #ROTFLOL #lolsonottrue

Are you healthy?
Are you happy with your body?

if you answered yes to both of those, then who cares? The doc is probably dumb. You're fine :)

You seem to be happy with your body, and if you're not so overweight you're unhealthy, I think you're okay.

7kg isn't very much. if its muscle weight, your doctor is a bonehead. some people carry excess fat in their butt hips and thighs. also a person can be carrying extra water weight.

Ezra is on point.

Either you have a stupid-ass doctor or you have some localized body fat, which doesn't make you look overweight.

I'll agree with what CharlieHorse said because I don't like doctors :D
