Why aren't donations accepted?

Mostly for the reason that most members are technically kids, and 1) I don't really feel comfortable taking money from kids, and 2) if somebody donates their parents money without telling them, I don't want it to backfire and become a problem.

Maybe get a solicitor to write up some small print? Make sure you have the bill payers permission for example. Most of us kids have our own backs and purchase apps and stuff online everyday.

If we got a solicitor wouldn't that cancel out any of the money from the donations?

How do you suggest the site makes money? They don't like advertising, changing for membership is a joke. Maybe individual donations? No donation button but contact an admin and pay however much you want.

I honestly don't know- I don't think that paying the admin would solve the problems as it would still lead to kids accessing their parents money and paying to fund the site which could led to trouble. You'd have to ask Mike but it's not like the site needs to suddenly raise money in the next week

We're not really interested in doing that.

Don't get me wrong, there have been various donations before (from members), but for the most part we generally don't take or ask for them. I just don't think asking for/taking money from kids is the right thing to do. Keeping the site funded isn't the biggest worry on my list, and it shouldn't be members' worry either.
