Age and boners.

Okay, so as I've gotten older, I've noticed I get boners more regularly and randomly. I get that, it happens. But does anyone else notice if they can control the urge to get hard? I will be sitting there and a sex scene on TV happens (on HBO, with nudity) and I will be thinking of getting a boner, but when I think of not getting one, I don't get one. Does this happen to anyone else and does this happen with age?

I've found it easier to control things compared to when I first started puberty. Still happens randomly, as you said - but far easier to 'clamp down' on things on a mental level. It's probably the same as when we first see ice cream as a child and start getting excited outward and inwardly, but can control ourselves to be less so with time.

(But to be honest, I still make a public nuisance of myself, clap and jump for joy when some nice dessert hits the table! ;) )

It's just hormones. You will easily get random boners, even from non sexual things. It will most likely stop when you have reached the end of puberty. Probably around early 20s. All of us wish we didn't get them but it happens and you have no control over it. If you get one, try to think of something completely gross and disgusting lol.

I cant control it, but If I do want to get rid of one, I will usually just ignore it and try and think of something else. Thinking about wont help

I don't have any control because I'll just get a boner whenever especially when I don't want one. That's the thing thats most frusterating and wet dreams.

I'm not very good at controlling it at the minute, I mean it's better than it was, as in not as frequent now, but It's hard to control but i'm only 14...

I get them randomly, or when I think of having a boner, it might happen.. not always though.

I barely get random boners anymore, one a day at most and I'm 16

I envy your control. I have a boner just about half the day now O_o and whenever I even think of absolutely anything even remotely sexual (when I'm horny, even a girl of 16 with a pretty face would do) then I can feel it rubbing against my underwear, which only increases the duration. I got blue balls regularly.

Lol, I don't get random boners anymore, i'm 13/14. I used to get many, but now I bet I could survive a whole school day without getting one.

This would be concerning, but it just adds to the thought that I'm done with puberty already. :/
