Well I'm in the royal navy sea cadets ,we have the army cadets across the road from us - it takes a lot of commitment and discipline ,of course you have to have fun too .I'm always getting called over by my xo for not smiling ,you need the right balance of being serious , having a good time and learning new skills. There's also the police cadets, air cadets ,scc (sea cadets ) and the marine cadets which are part of the sea cadets and are usually in the same building .Each are different ,so chose what suits you.People forget that there's others and not just army cadets .Usually subs are £1 a session and at my detachment we have parade 2 times a week for 5 hours in total (2.5 hours a night from 7-9.30 ) ,also some weekends and holidays you'll be doing stuff too (which again is a massive commitment) I'll admit it is tiring and I crash out as soon as I get home ,but at the same time I love it.

I was in the Navy Sea Cadets when I was younger. It was really just fun while you learned military-like things.

I'm in air cadets and whether it be army, air or sea cadets you should really go for it. As stated it takes a lot of dedication and discipline, but remember it all pays back :) If you stick to it and have the right attitude you'll get promoted and its amazing. I have multiple friends in the army cadets and they appear to enjoy it, they also have a camp at least every two months which is perfect if you don't have exams
