Yea,
I messed up.
I messed up really bad,
I cut, I really couldn't help it.

THe worst f*ing part is that summer is coming, and I don't want people to see the scars on my arms...
What am I going to do?!
Wear long sleeves all summer?!
):

I really just want to stop but I can't...

I'm deeply sorry. If you didn't cut too deep, then I guess the scars will have faded away by the time Summer starts. You can also use some make up to hide them, but probably that's not going to work, or use some wristbands. The ideal thing would be if you just stopped, but I can imagine how hard it is to do it.

if you want to stop you really need counseling to do it. i wanted to stop too but couldn't until i got in counseling.

I haven't had much luck hiding scars with makeup in the past, but you could try. wristbands could work. you could keep hair ties on your wrist and claim they're there for convenience, but that only works if you have long hair. they should fade by summer anyway, unless the cut is very bad.

You don't technically need counselling to do anything, it works for some, in this case you, but not always for others. I had therapy and counselling, it never helped me stop, in fact the opposite. What works for you, doesn't always work for others. So rather than a need, it's more of a suggestion that it may help.

The best thing you can do OP is treat the wounds and look after them, give them attention with things like aloe vera or concealer that has a moisturiser in. The quicker they heal and/or fade the easier it is to hide. If you want to stop though, you do have to want to, it's not an easy process.

It sucks, I have an injection on Friday, and I have to go in with my school uniform on, which means i'd have to take my sweater off in front of the doctor >.< I am just gonna put tons of makeup over it and try and face the scars and cuts the opposite direction.

You could try putting neosporin on your arms. It might make them heal faster. And in the future when you cut, just do it on your legs. They're easier to hide.

I think what Leprechaun said is good. Sometimes, counselling does some good, other times it doesn't. It often depends on whether or not you get along with the therapist, and how open you are.

In the mean time, as she said, you can try some aloe or something along those lines. It's also important to try everything you can to keep yourself from continuing to do it. It's so much easier said than done, believe me, I know. But there are other ways to cope, and when you feel the urge, do something to keep busy. I like to keep my hands busy with something, be it using a marker or a pencil to just write or doodle or anything, or snap a rubber band, anything like that. Find what works for you. It'll get easier. It's not too late.
