This is a thread were you post your musical opinions that nobody else seems to agree with.

Here are some of my own opinions:

- Metallica is wank.
- Nirvana is overrated.
- Punk Rock and all its variations are shit.
- Pop music is part of a government conspiracy to brainwash the masses.
- Asking Alexandria are shit and stupid.
- Most popular metal bands are boring and simplistic.
- Indie pop music is marginally less shit than its counterpart, nevertheless it's still shit.
- The best technical music comes from England.

- the majority of pop music is very bad, those people can't really sing and they don't write any of their music.

I think metallica is the best heavy metal band out there. I also think that Nirvana is under rated except for smells like teen spirit which is over rated. I completly agree with you on everything else.

My opinions:

Mainstream Rap(Drake, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Tyga) is just as bad(or worse) than mainstream pop

- Lynyrd Skynyrd is pretty good.

- AC/DC while an awesome band, gets old after a while.

- I only like about 5 or 6 songs by the Beatles.

- Imagine Dragons sucks.

- Pop music as a whole, isn't even music. It's manufactured garbage meant to brainwash kids like you and me.

- Justin Bieber, while an ass, should not be deported. If he gets deported, then all the other idiotic 19 and 20 year-olds should too.

- British bands are WAY better than American bands.

- Even though I fucking love Pink Floyd, I think that Division Bell is pretty bad.

- As a famous musician, you should not be obligated to be a better person than you would be as a non famous person.

- Any song that intends to spread religion is utterly terrible.

I dont think the Divsion Bell is bad per say. Its more not the best. It has some good songs on it.

-Anything and everything is music if the creator calls it music (and of course it fits the definition at least in that it is auditory, but I'll be lenient) regardless of its composition or source.
-Avril Lavigne is and always has been pop. I wouldn't imagine this is an unpopular opinion, but I've recently run into some people who were completely bewildered about my claiming this.
-Second note, pop isn't a genre, it's a musical structure. Guitars =/= rock
-Pop music has value, though that value isn't listening value.
-Non-Skrillex dubstep is actually great homework music. I like to put on youtube playlists of it while I work.
-I think I've mentioned this here recently, but it's only okay to sample songs if you actually make something new out of it, not just a medley of other songs that don't belong to you with some terrible rapping over it.
-Covering =/= copying

KISS is one of the worst bands to ever exist.
Mainstream pop is controlled not by the consumers, but by the corporations that run the record labels. Musicians become popular when the labels WANT them to become popular.
Modern rap is garbage, and a far cry from the old-school hip-hop of yesteryear.
Ray Wilson should've been given more time to lead Genesis.

Deathcore isn't a genre of music, it's just a bunch of screamy bullshit that makes death metal look bad.
Aurelio Voltaire is the greatest musician of all time.
Lynard Sckanaryd or whatever the fuck his name is is completely overrated.
The Beatles have like, 3 good songs.
Buckethead and Yngwie Malmsteen are the most talented guitarists on earth.
Megadeth is not nearly as hardcore as everyone makes them out to be.
Rap sucks.
Hip hop "artists" need to learn how to play more than 3 fucking chords.
Country sucks.
Classical music is awesome.
All pop musicians are talentless whores who deserve to be executed.
Ozzy was way better BEFORE his best friend died and he went all Satanist and shit.
Dubstep sucks. Anyone can do it.
Learning to play piano isn't really that hard.
Learning to play guitar takes a lot more dedication than most people think.
Metal bands would be better if they used a wider range of instruments. Like violen and flute.
Jimi Hendrix is just as good as everyone gives him credit for.
Metal vocalists usually suck. Metal would be better if the vocalists took some lessons.

I don't follow the latest music trends.
I love dance music.

Rap music is trash, not all rap music is trash, but if it includes the word n**** then it is trash.
Love songs are overrated.
70's music all sounds the same to me.
If it has no words, then it has no point in being called music.
Country music hurts my ears, and is basically love songs with a twangy voice singing the lyrics.
I have no idea what the hell Indie or Nirvana is, so I can't say that it sucks.
Miley Cyrus's songs look and sound like a bad acid trip, but I have to admit that they're pretty damn cool.
As much as I try to exhibit my masculine majority, even though, I'm gay, there's something appealing about One Direction to me.
Justin Bieber should not be sent back to Canada, simply because, 1. They wouldn't take him back and 2. If necessary, as a war tactic, we could send him to our enemies, sort of like a fruitcake.

Autotune isn't inherently bad. It's just used badly.
Ke$ha is actually a fairly decent singer.
Cover artists tend to be better than originals.

I feel TERRIBLE saying this, but as a classic rock person, I don't think Led Zeppelin is all that great. Stairway To Heaven is good, but it's by no means one of the greatest. Immigrant song is good, but not great.

I don't think the Beatles are one of the top 10 or even 40 bands of all time. I'll listen to their stuff, but I won't go out of my way.

I dislike the Clash.

Even though this isn't super unpopular, I still feel that it's somewhat that. I hate hate hate new country music. It's all about Trucks and girls and America and more trucks. Jason Aldeen and Toby Keith (excuse my avatar) and others are definitely a contributing factor to why the United States is a joke.

AC/DC gets old.

Just because you got this many grammys, does not mean you're a great artist. It just means that you're blindly followed by a generation that doesn't know better. Remember that thing that happened in Europe in the 1940's? It's like that. Shit, that got dark real fast. We went from music to the holocaust. oops.
