Confused

I've had a crush my best friend since I was a freshman in middle school. Now I'm a sophomore in high school and he is a junior. We hang out all nearly every day, he was the first person that I told I was gay. We have always been very close but he occasionally gives me signs and flirts with me but always breaks it off. I was going to talk to him about it last year but he met a girl on the bus and started dating her almost immediately and I was forced to be a good friend and congratulate him and help them through rough spots. He broke up with her after a month asked if he could stay over at my house for the weekend, then left got a weird look on his face and drove himself home in the middle of our game. Now just about acts like I don't exist. I just want him to be happy if he doesn't want to be anything more than friends I will be happy as long as he allows me in his life again. I've no idea what to do. (Sorry for the length)

I've no idea what caused the change, we were having a great time, we were on a winning streak and making jokes we're laughing so hard we got red in the face and my cheeks were hurting. Then he got a weird look on his face said he should leave. Maybe he was actually thinking about the whole relationship thing. He always avoids the topic of his sexuality, and he has held eye contact a bit longer than necessary on a few occasions.
